DssWiki was conceived of in late 2006 by its founder, me. I began purchasing hardware for it shortly thereafter, and after a couple months, had amassed an outstanding Compaq/HP DL380-G2, 3 gig of ram, 4 36.4 gig ultra 320 drives (in raid 5) and 2 18.2 gig, ultra 160 drives, (in raid 1). The operating system chosen is SuSE 10.1, running apache 2, php 5 and mysql. The initial wiki software version is mediawiki 1.9.3, this is the same software as run by Wikipedia. The site went on line, in march of 2007, and painstakingly put on google, the same month. This site, was made in friendship with DssCentral.net, and outstanding group of very knowledgeable people, I have been proud to call them my friends over the past 5 or so years.

A special thanks to Daisy, who without her help, this site would still be in the building process. I also want to thank in advance, all those who are helping and will help build this killer knowledge base for all to enjoy.
